In case studies a company can give a topic where you have to use your analytical skills because they can give a complex business situation that requires a decision to be made wisely. Here you have to analyse the situation and find the best solution.
C. Abstract Group Discussion

Evaluation Criteria in a Group Discussion
The evaluation of participants can be done on two broad perspective: Individual Qualities and Group Skills.

In GD it is possible that a participant has talked a great deal in a GD, but if that talked is not relevant to the topic then there is no use of that talked. Whatever you talked in an interview is must be relevant to the topic. The panel examines whether your treatment of the topic is superficial or in depth.
2. Analytical Skills
The panel is of course interested in your facts but they also like to see whether you can use your analytical skills to solve the case study or not. Here you must have an analytical skill to crack the Group Discussion. Before taking the interview, you must practice all the things which are required in the group discussion.
3. Organisation skills
Organisation skill is nothing but your presentation skills. It also important that how you present your ideas in front of the others. The panel always examine your each and every skill and the knowledge. You may have facts, the explanation but are you able to present them in a right sequence? This is also very important.
4. Communication skills
You may have all the above skills but if you don’t have good communication skill then it is very difficult for you to crack the Group Discussion. If you are able to explain your point in a simple language that can be easily understood by the other participant then it will increase your chances of getting selected. It is possible because of your communication skills.
5. Reasoning skills
Here they check your strengths and weakness, how logical you are in your overall approach to the topics. You should have strong reasoning skills. Reasoning is also one of the important skills. The panel looks at how you support your standpoints and how you respond to those of the others.
You should have creativity while you are solving the problems. So, these are some skills you should possess to crack the group discussion.
On the other hand, the group skills refer to those skills which can only be evaluated in the context of a group. They are as follows:
